Thanks Markus (and Guillaume) for sharing your knowledge, I've learnt quite a lot of stuff despite it is not in my area (actually I'm sysadmin not even a really DBA). But you know what ? You are the first guy I've met that asserts : "The only place where the technical database knowledge meets the functional knowledge of the business domain is the development department". I think I should display this sentence just above my desk.

While I read your book I was kind of frustrated for not getting the answers of all the "think about it" sections.... May I ask you to answer all those interesting questions ?
